Mohan Tenuwara: Small Towns of Manitoba

OCT 22, 2018 TO NOV 7, 2018
OPENING RECEPTION October 25, 2018 | 6:30-9:30pm

Fleet Galleries 65 Albert Street

"Small towns" is a solo art exhibition, featuring 15 selected small-scaled townships in Manitoba. While these communities are relatively small in scale, their input to the growth of our province has been significant and cannot be underestimated.

The show attempts to highlight a few such iconic jewels hidden in our prairie land. The artist celebrates each town’s utility and beauty with tagged stories that look into their contributions to social, cultural, economic and environment aspects of Manitoba.

The prairie stretches out seamlessly and we have it all – see how agricultural communities of Erickson celebrates colourful land patterns while the beautifully crafted architecture of Flin Flon stands out as eye-candy for artists. The winding remote roads of Minnedosa inspires poems of geometry while blankets of snow over Roland can bring you chills. Come visit the exhibit to explore and be inspired by the Manitoba landscapes.
